1. Come up with an idea for a SPECIAL EVENT.
2. Find some posters or advertisements for events like the one you've chosen. For example, if you want to design an concert poster, look at some real, professionally-designed concert posters. Make it something interesting, an event that you'd like to attend. It could be a concert, a festival, a convention, movie premier, party, ceremony or just about any other gathering that you'd like to have a lot of people come to. Figure out the who? what? where? when? why? for your event. Starting in Pixlr, create a NEW IMAGE measuring 2550 px x 3300 px. Create a poster advertising the event... keep in mind that your main goal is to attract as many people to the thing as possible. Use photos, shapes, text, cartoons or any other imagery that you think will grab the viewer's attention. Use text to inform the viewer of the who? what? where? when? why? for your event. The poster design has to be completely original, created from scratch. Your are not to edit an existing poster. Do all of your photo editing in Pixlr. Do all of your text in Inkscape. Using Inkscape for setting the text of the poster is MANDATORY. Do all of your photo editing and composition first, set all of your text last. whatever other imagery you think will grab the viewers attention. Save the final image in Inkscape as both an .svg file AND a .png file Comments are closed.
