Design a Magazine
1. Think of an idea for a magazine. It can be funny, silly, serious... whatever. But make it specific. So not "Sports Magazine" or even "Basketball Magazine" but maybe something like "Neighborhood Court Magazine". 2. Create three pages of the magazine to show what it will look like. I STRONGLY recommend that you go out and look at images of professionally published magazines. Especially magazines that are about something similar to yours. Make the following pages: - Cover (including the logo for the name, the "masthead") - Table of Contents - Content Page (an example of what's in the magazine) 3. Make it look as professional as possible. Do your photo editing in Pixlr and all of your text in Inkscape. Make you pages 1800 pixels x 2400 pixels. BIG IDEA An issue of a magazine should should have a "style", a "look" to it. All the pages should look like they belong together with regard to the fonts, colors and even the images that are used. In terms of the Principles of Art, this is about "Harmony". Comments are closed.
