Objective/Goal:
Digital Art 2 students will design a project for Digital Art 1 students that teaches a specific advanced skill or process in Pixlr. Activity: 1. Think about when you were in Digital Art 1 and what you were doing at about this point in the year. Choose a topic, something that was difficult or challenging for you when you were using Pixlr. Examples could include using the Clone Stamp tool, combining multiple photos into a single composition, different ways of selecting difficult objects using the Magic Wand and Lasso tools, etc. 2. Design a lesson/project that you could have a class of Digital Art 1 students do that teaches that particular thing. Be very specific. Whatever you are teaching needs to be able to be stated in one or two clear sentences. 3. Create your own "Teacher Example" that shows MASTERY of the specific skill you are teaching. It should be of VERY HIGH QUALITY. You are creating a project that should take students 4-5 days to complete. Your Teacher Example should have AT LEAST the same amount of time and effort put into it. I will be posting your examples to the class blog. And I will choose one to have my current Digital Art 1 students do. Grading: Your work will be graded on how clear and specific your lesson topic is and how clearly and specifically your Teacher Example illustrates that topic. Also, your Teacher Example will make up the vast majority of your grade and will be graded like any other project... that is to say graded on the time and effort you put into it. I expect a lot from you on this one. And I will be grading them hard. This project will be one of your biggest grades for this nine weeks. Do very good work. Below are a few of my own favorite Teacher Examples: Comments are closed.
